A Flag on the Top of Africa: Carloha's Climb Has Only Just Begun

From Carloha Group August 16, 2026

At sunrise local time, Carloha Founder Mr.Liang Long reached Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa, and unfurled the Carloha flag — the first time the Carloha flag has flown above the continent.

The climb was done the Carloha way.

From equatorial rainforest at the base, through the clouds, to a midnight summit push under headlamps, the mountain rewarded the team with a sea of clouds at sunrise. A clear route, a steady pace, a well-supplied team, and people looking out for one another — this is how Carloha climbs. The founder was simply the flag-bearer; the flag itself belongs to everyone at Carloha, and to the partners and customers who carry the company forward.

Why Africa? Because the future here is already happening.

Africa is the youngest, fastest-growing continent on earth — home to more than 1.4 billion people with a median age under 20. Urbanization and a rising middle class are unlocking mobility demand at an unprecedented scale, and the African Continental Free Trade Area is binding the continent into a single market. Nigeria, Africa's most populous economy, stands at the very beginning of its motorization wave.

Carloha's confidence in this continent was not born yesterday. From a used-car platform founded in the United States, through technology and supply-chain operations in China, to becoming Chery's exclusive dealer in Nigeria in 2023 — every step Carloha has taken has led it closer to Africa. Raising the flag on the Roof of Africa is simply a marker on that road.

"Uhuru" means freedom. It is also our promise.

The automobile was invented to give ordinary people the freedom to move. As the national distributor of Chery in Nigeria, Carloha's vision is simple: to put trustworthy, Chinese-engineered vehicles within reach of African families. "Turning transactions into service" is not a slogan — it has a name: CarlohaCare, which takes over maintenance, warranty and new-energy support long after the sale, turning ownership into a cared-for journey. And the local assembly programme now taking shape will move Carloha one step further — from serving Africa to building in Africa.

5,895 meters is not the finish line.

The flag now stands on the Roof of Africa. Carloha's climb in the African market has only just begun. The next peak is already underfoot: a wider dealer network, more CarlohaCare centres, and the shift from selling in Africa to building in Africa. The next peak, we climb together.
